Welcome to Fall!
NRL22 just wrapped up its first year as a new event for the club. We began in July of 2023 and have accomplished a lot in that year. We expanded out west from the 600 yard range to add the new NRL22 range out on the hill. That is where we host our matches from the early spring to late fall. In the winter we move to the 200 yard rifle range to have a little bit cover from winter weather.
Currently we are hosting matches once a month. These matches include the NRL22 course of fire and we always add a few of our own bonus stages as well.
Currently, we are shooting out to 165 yards on the NRL22 Range and 185 yards on the 200 yard rifle range. We have recently upgraded target sets which allow more versatility allowing us to get even more creative with our target placement and expanding the limits of how many targets we can set per stage.
What really sets us apart is our club’s roots in PRS which allows us access to a wide variety of props that are not typically used by other clubs hosting NRL22 matches. We also attract a lot of experienced NRL22 shooters and PRS shooters which offers a great blend of knowledge for new shooters to learn from.
NRL22 is part of a wider national community that hosts a national championship shoot every June. Our club was lucky enough to have three shooters attend the national championship, Myself, Andrew Kolden, and Chett Winkler. This match consisted of some of the best NRL22 shooters from around the world with 275 shooters competing over the course of 3 days. It was a great opportunity to see how NRL22 matches are run at that level and bring some of that knowledge and experience into our own matches.
I was lucky enough to have someone let me borrow their rifle for my first ever nrl22 match which allowed me to discover this sport and desire to share it with our club. It is because of this that I always offer my rifle to anybody that wishes to try the sport so they have the same opportunity to participate as I did.
Throughout this year we have developed a community of regular shooters that keep coming back and to them I cannot say thank you enough for the help they have provided, and I hope to be able to expand this community with anybody else that is interested in joining.
Ready to join us? We look forward to seeing you!
